The Cali Mayor\'s Office provides detailed information on the delivery of essential supplies and humanitarian aid following the earthquake
The Cali Mayor's Office Collection Center, established in response to the August 10 earthquake, reports that as of August 15, a total of 160.5 tons of aid have been delivered in 215 dispatches.
Of the total delivered in Cali, 117 tons have been allocated to 22 neighborhoods within the city (17 neighborhoods and 5 rural districts), and 43.5 tons have been sent to other municipalities in the Valle del Cauca department.

The Cali Mayor's Office, headed by Alejandro Eder, has been tirelessly collecting and distributing aid from its collection center located in the Petronio Citadel, within the Alberto Galindo Sports Complex. This center was transformed for this purpose last Tuesday, the day after the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Cali at 7:34 a.m.
The humanitarian aid, distributed across 22 communes and 5 rural areas of Cali, has consisted of 160.5 tons delivered in 215 dispatches, including nine types of items: food supplies, water, hygiene products, textiles, and tools, among others. Food supplies and water account for 77.7% of the aid.
The distribution of the delivered aid was as follows: 19,991 kilograms in Commune 20, 11,669 in Commune 18, 10,655 in Commune 13, 5,703 in Commune 2, 5,737 in Commune 16, 5,182 in Commune 19, 2,864 in Commune 10, 2,531 in Commune 3, 2,048 in Commune 21, 2,042 in Commune 9, 2,016 in Commune 8, 1,986 in Commune 15, 1,607 in Commune 14, 1,330 in Commune 17, 1,294 in Commune 1, and 987 in Commune 4.
In Cali, 117 tons were delivered, representing 72.9% of the total. Outside of Cali, 43.5 tons were delivered. (27.1% of the total) has been distributed to 17 municipalities in the department and to Istmina, in the province of Chocó.
Within Cali, the rural area received 10.8% (12.6 tons) in townships that mostly have damaged roads and more difficult access.
Thus, in the urban area of Cali (including both city districts and non-city districts), 104,396 kilograms, or 65.1% of the aid, have been delivered; in its rural area (townships), 12,580 kg (7.8%) were delivered; and 43,490 kg (27.1%) were delivered to municipalities outside of Cali.
The municipalities served outside of Cali are Buenaventura, with a delivery of 7,861 kilograms; La Cumbre, 6,745 kg; Dagua, 6,556 kg; and La Unión, 6,170 kg. Trujillo, 4,027 kg; El Águila, 2,746 kg; Yotoco, 2,532 kg; Bolívar, 1,538 kg; Jamundí, 1,335 kg; El Cairo, 1,109 kg; Caicedonia, 1,062 kg; Sevilla, 932 kg; Calima-El Darién, 650 kg; Argelia, 146 kg; Candelaria, 46 kg; Tuluá, 23 kg; and Roldanillo, 2 kg.
What type of aid has been delivered?
Breaking down the aid delivered, it was determined that the distribution by type of item was as follows: food and groceries (91,249 kg), water and beverages (33,396 kg), textiles and bedding (12,826 kg), diapers and baby care items (8,280 kg), personal hygiene items (5,677 kg), rescue and protection tools (4,197 kg), health and medical supplies (3,648 kg), and pet supplies (1,000 kg).
From the PMU (Unified Command Post), led by Mayor Alejandro Eder, the latest figures collected this Sunday regarding the impacts of the earthquake are: 123 deaths, 111 bodies released to their families, 1,485 injured, 88 rescued, 81 collapsed buildings, 2,391 buildings with structural damage, and 534 buildings under evacuation orders.
Additionally, 18,086 tons of debris have been removed and 116 animals have been rescued.
