The Mayor of Cali, Alejandro Eder, confirmed that 26 structures collapsed in Cali as a result of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the city this morning.
The mayor announced that support from the national government and other capital cities has been requested, including rescue teams and equipment.
The license plate driving restriction (Pico y Placa) has been suspended for today. However, residents are advised to remain at home whenever possible so that roads remain clear, allowing emergency response teams to move freely.
The installation of a collection center has been announced to receive donations of protective goggles, gloves, helmets, and sleeping mats. This collection point will be located at Jairo Varela Plaza.
